This event explores issues such as common dietary deficiencies, meal content and portion sizing for primary school aged children, together with the impact of modern lifestyle and societal changes on children’s nutrition and health.
About The Bare Scientist, Melissa Saint Hill:
Melissa is a research scientist, registered nutritionist and food consultant. With two postgraduate degrees in human nutrition and clinical research, Melissa has a keen interest in metabolic syndrome and behavioural change. In addition to project managing clinical trials, she also develops recipes for various well-known brands and teaches in community kitchens such as Made in Hackney, helping people to gain confidence in the kitchen whilst improving their cooking and baking skills with health in mind.

An evening of food and flavours with Masterchef semi-finalist
We are delighted to announce an evening with Masterchef semi-finalist and former Enfield resident Theo Michaels, www.theocooks.com
Theo will be talking about his food journey from Edmonton to Masterchef and beyond, and why he gave up a successful career in recruitment to follow his dream.
He will be discussing the inspiration behind his latest recipe book and the lessons that he has learned along the way and guests will have an opportunity to ask Theo about his career and food.
The evening will include an opportunity to sample some of Theo’s recipes* and all guests will receive a signed copy of Theo’s book Orexi!
*Please note that only taster portions of food are provided and the evening does not include dinner.
